Blues Control is the alter-ego of Lea Cho and Russ Waterhouse aka electronics/drone outfit Watersports. The duo have somehow found a hazy but powerful common musical thread between Conrad Schnitzler’s jabbering electronic workouts, the gauze of Locust Abortion Technician-era Butthole Surfers, and the more unicorn-saddling moments of Jan Hammer. Lea Cho plays swank but grounded atmospheric keyboard parts for manipulator of assorted junk- on-table Russ Waterhouse to cut through, whittle and lay waste to. It’s a hazy, spaced world that exists between fuzzed distortion and a lazy stay- in-bed psychedelic glaze. A humid bikini vibe permeates throughout with rhythmic keyboards pulsating below a la a guy named Florian.

TROPA MACACA
Hailing from a small town in northern Portugal, Tropa Macaca are evergrowing young masters of circular trance; they build vibrant layers of trip, demolition and life out of pure mutilated sound, uncovering new realities through the most spiritual of frictions. Pure abstract intuition as dark ritual psychosis, super intimate and totally on its own.

THREAD PULLS
Thread Pulls became the first  Irish band to be invited to play at the All Tomorrow’s Parties festival in 2005 at the request of Vincent Gallo. Their Summer Songs mini-album was described by The Wire as being “built from feedback, dissonant chops and reedy vocals that put one in mind of Thurston Moore traversing a tarpit”.
